At Koinonia Development Center, we aim to change the lives of those in our community. We specialize in equine-assisted activities and therapy. We are collaborating with Koinonia Camp and Conference Center to offer community services through the use of their horses and facilities. Our deep commitment to changing lives through therapy and adaptive riding sets us apart. We are dedicated to enhancing the overall well-being of individuals of all ages and abilities.

Our Equine Programs
Occupational Therapy
We offer customized occupational therapy programs designed to enhance individuals' well-being and independence. Through innovative therapeutic approaches and personalized sessions, we empower individuals to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. We incorporate equine-assisted techniques into many of our therapy sessions.
Adaptive Therapeutic Riding
Learn how to ride a horse using methods and equipment adapted to your individual learning leveI. Our therapeutic adaptive riding programs are tailored to address the unique needs of each individual. Using specialized riding and instruction techniques, we can improve participation in this rewarding activity with many benefits.
Equine Assisted Learning
Unmounted workshops for small groups with a focus on education, problem solving, and social skills. We conduct workshops focused on the therapeutic benefits of horse-human interactions. By integrating interactive sessions with horses, individuals gain valuable life skills, emotional growth, and improved social interactions.
Community Respite
In partnership with Koinonia Camp and Conference Center, we will soon be offering Waiver CommunityRespite camps and events. These events include one day events and weekend long camps. Some events will offer therapeutic or adaptive riding as an activity for campers. Self-pay options are available for those without waiver funding.
